Brielle Jobe
Native English Speaker
Fluent in American Sign Language
Proficient in German
Düsseldorf, Germany
Born in Virginia (USA)
Originally from central Maryland, Brielle graduated with a degree in Musical Theatre at Catawba College in North Carolina before coming to Germany. She's spent most of her life in the theatre or the band, playing the clarinet, oboe, and tenor saxophone. She's worked as an actor, a playwright, a technician, a fight choreographer, and a director.
She is also an absolute nerd about film and, of course, linguistics! While completing her undergrad thesis, Found in Translation: Multi-lingual Theatre in the Fight Against Xenophobia, she studied patterns and pronunciations across Spanish, Polish, French, Japanese, Hindi, and Arabic (becoming fluent in none).
Her hobbies outside reading movie trivia and trying to remember that one linguistic buzzword include swimming, soccer, knitting, improv comedy, and baking.
